Road rehabilitation work on Northgate Drive is underway as part of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s 2026 Road Rehabilitation Project.
Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place during construction hours for about four weeks. From 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Northgate Drive will be limited to one-way southbound traffic only between Line 8 and Fletcher Street.
The Town says the temporary traffic measures are necessary to ensure the safety of both construction crews and motorists travelling through the work zone.
At the end of each workday, both northbound and southbound lanes will reopen, allowing normal two-way traffic to resume until construction begins again the following morning.
Motorists are encouraged to follow posted signage, use designated detour routes, allow extra travel time, and use caution when travelling through the construction area.
