Motorists are being advised to expect heavier traffic and delays in Oro-Medonte Township this weekend as thousands of people travel to Burl’s Creek Event Grounds for the Boots and Hearts Music Festival.
The increased traffic is expected Friday, August 7th to Sunday, August 9th, with drivers encouraged to allow extra travel time and be prepared for congestion in and around the area.
Police are reminding motorists to obey posted speed limits and traffic signs, never drive impaired, always wear a seatbelt, and consider carpooling to help reduce traffic.
Festival attendees are also encouraged to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, arrange a safe ride home, and look out for friends and family.
Event, parking and transportation information is available here.
