A 42-year-old Barrie man has been arrested following an investigation into multiple commercial break-and-enters in the city’s northeast end.
An officer on general patrol near Perry Street and Milligan’s Pond noticed suspicious activity and identified the man as a suspect in a previous break-and-enter investigation.
The suspect fled on a bicycle, but was taken into custody following a short foot pursuit and canine track.
Police believe the man is responsible for multiple commercial break-and-enters reported in the northeast end of Barrie over the past month.
The investigation remains ongoing, with further updates expected once all charges are confirmed.
