A 42-year-old Barrie man is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, following a targeted vehicle incident in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
South Simcoe Police responded to a residential neighbourhood on the evening of Thursday, August 6th after a person was intentionally struck by a vehicle. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police determined the incident was targeted and that the victim and accused were known to each other.
The Barrie man was arrested and charged with:
- Attempted Murder
- Assault with a Weapon
- Criminal Harassment
- Uttering Threats
- Dangerous Operation
The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on August 12th.
Police say the incident was isolated and targeted, with no threat to public safety.
