A section of the Trans Canada Trail in New Tecumseth is temporarily closed this week while the Town carries out maintenance work to improve safety for trail users.
The closure will affect the trail between 3rd Line and 4th Line until Thursday, August 20th, with the trail closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The work includes removing hazardous trees, clearing brush and overgrown vegetation, pruning trees, chipping branches and debris, and completing general trail maintenance.
The Town says signs have been posted at the trail entrances on 3rd Line and 4th Line, as well as along Richmond Street, to alert residents and trail users about the temporary closure.
The Town asks residents and trail users to plan accordingly while the work is underway. Questions can be directed to the Public Works Department at publicworks@newtecumseth.ca.
