Rending of Stevenson Memorial Hospital
The Ontario government is providing more than $4.48 million in additional operational funding to Stevenson Memorial Hospital and Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
Collingwood General and Marine Hospital will receive $3,003,500, while Stevenson Memorial Hospital in New Tecumseth will receive $1,479,000.
Simcoe-Grey MPP Brian Saunderson says the funding will help support health-care professionals at both hospitals as they provide essential services to patients and families in growing communities.
The funding is part of a $1.1-billion investment in Ontario’s hospital sector announced through Budget 2026. The province says the investment represents a four per cent increase in annual support for the fourth consecutive year.
The province also says it plans to invest approximately $64 billion in major health infrastructure over the next decade, supporting more than 50 major hospital projects and approximately 3,000 new hospital beds across Ontario.
