Drivers in Innisfil should expect continued closures on sections of Killarney Beach Road as construction progresses on the road’s urbanization project.
The section of Killarney Beach Road from Church Drive to Corner Avenue is scheduled to remain closed through Friday, August 21st, as part of Phase 2.
Beginning Friday, the closure will move to the section between Corner Avenue and Ewart Street, with that phase scheduled to continue until November 2nd.
Local traffic, businesses and emergency services will continue to have access, with detours in place.
The project includes storm sewer and driveway culvert upgrades, roadside ditch regrading, new multi-use paths, road resurfacing and street-lighting improvements.
Construction is weather permitting and dates are subject to change. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs.
