Ontario is investing $95,627 in four Seniors Community Grant projects across the Simcoe-Grey riding.
The funding is part of a province-wide $7-million investment supporting more than 320 projects designed to help seniors stay active, healthy and socially connected.
Locally, the funding includes $20,337 to the Town of New Tecumseth for its Seniors’ Connected to Community program. Other recipients include Camphill Communities Ontario, the Environment Network, and Wasaga Beach Public Library.
The province says the grants are intended to increase independence, reduce social isolation, and create opportunities for seniors to participate in their communities.
Since 2018, Ontario says it has invested more than $40 million through more than 2,100 Seniors Community Grants.
