A 21-year-old Barrie man has officially been charged after a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck towing a vehicle.
Police were called to Churchill Drive between Welham Road and Bayview Drive in Barrie at around 7:00 a.m. on July 15th following the collision.
Through the investigation, police determined the motorcycle was travelling westbound behind the tow truck. The motorcycle attempted to pass the truck on the inside as the truck was making a right turn into a parking lot.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital. He has since been released and continues to recover at home. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
On Wednesday, September 2nd, the 21-year-old motorcyclist was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
