A Mono man has officially been charged following a serious two-vehicle collision in Barrie earlier this year.
On April 28th, at around 10:00 a.m., emergency crews responded to Huronia Road, in the area of Saunders and Lockhart roads for a head-on collision involving two vehicles.
Through the investigation, officers determined a vehicle travelling northbound on Huronia toward Mapleview Drive East crossed the centre line and collided with an oncoming vehicle. The impact caused the northbound vehicle to roll onto its roof.
A 47-year-old Barrie woman was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Huronia Road was closed in both directions for several hours while police investigated the collision and crews completed the cleanup.
On September 2nd, police charged the 49-year-old man with careless driving causing bodily harm.
