Barrie Police are investigating after a local high school was vandalized over the Labour Day long weekend.
Police were called to the secondary school on Little Avenue on Monday, September 7th, after a construction worker attending the property for ongoing renovations discovered damage.
Several areas of the school had been spray-painted, including entrance doors, windows, portions of the building and the sidewalk. A glass divider at another entrance was also smashed, with police believing a small school chair was used to cause the damage.
Police say a door to the school had also been forced open, and officers located multiple rooms that had been vandalized.
Investigators have obtained security camera footage and are gathering information in an effort to identify those responsible.
The investigation remains ongoing.
