The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested and charged a Caledon man with sexual assault following an investigation in Burlington.
In April 2026, a teenaged female victim contacted police to report being sexually assaulted by a male at a residence in Burlington.
Members of the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit assumed the investigation and learned that the victim had responded to a Kijiji advertisement posted by the accused seeking cleaning assistance at a construction site. After accepting the position, the victim met with the accused, who transported her to a residence undergoing renovations, where the assault occurred.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation, on October 26th, a 51-year-old male from Caledon, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault.
