Museum on the Boyne
The Museum on the Boyne in New Tecumseth is preparing to celebrate the holiday season with a lineup of winter events.
This seasonal programming includes opportunities to visit Santa, create traditional holiday decorations, and ring in the New Year with family-friendly activities.
The first event is Santa’s Cozy Cabin, taking place Saturday, November 28th, with appointment times available between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Tickets cost $15.
Families can enjoy a visit with Santa, which includes a printed photo, a festive scavenger hunt, holiday crafts, and story time. Some activities will take place outdoors, so visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.
More information and registration are available here.
The Antique Winter Workshop will follow on Saturday, December 12th and Saturday, December 19th, running from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The workshops cost $20 per session and are open to participants aged 16 and older.
Attendees will learn traditional crafting techniques while creating holiday decorations inspired by celebrations of the past. Projects will include dried orange garlands, tin-punch ornaments, candles and other seasonal creations.
Registration is available here.
The museum will also host a Noon Year’s Eve Party on December 31st from noon until 1:00 p.m. The event costs $5 and is designed for families with young children.
The celebration will feature holiday crafts, hands-on activities, and festive entertainment, giving families an opportunity to welcome 2027 without staying up until midnight.
